


{"id":74,"date":"2015-01-26T17:52:00","date_gmt":"2015-01-26T16:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csins2i.irisa.fr\/?page_id=74"},"modified":"2019-09-11T15:07:17","modified_gmt":"2019-09-11T13:07:17","slug":"home-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/csins2i.irisa.fr\/en\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"main\">\n<div id=\"content\">\n<div id=\"wikitext\">\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Welcome to the web site of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/en\/institutes\/ins2i-information-sciences-technologies.html\" rel=\"nofollow\">CNRS-INS2I<\/a>&nbsp;scientific council, 2014-2018 period<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>(<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/index.php\" rel=\"nofollow\">CNRS<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>National Institute of Information Sciences and Technologies)<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3>Objectives<\/h3>\n<p>This site established by the board of the INS2I Scientific Council for the period 2014-2018, has two objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide to the Information Sciences and Technology community information on the work of the Council;<\/li>\n<li>Provide private workspace to the member of the Scientific Council.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What is the CNRS-INS2I Institute?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CNRS Institute for Information Sciences and Technologies (INS2I) supports and&nbsp;coordinates the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/ins2i\/spip.php?article5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">59 teams and research laboratories <\/a>&nbsp;working in computer science, control&nbsp;theory, signal and image processing, robotics, and Systems-on-Chip (SoC) design. The Institute promotes basic research in the above disciplines in close connection with interdisciplinary scientific challenges and major social and&nbsp;economic&nbsp;issues.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">INS2I&#8217;s mission is to support and coordinate research in information science, while confronting basic research with social and economic issues. For this purpose, the Institute encourages interactions with other disciplines, especially with mathematical sciences, the life sciences, the humanities and social sciences, and engineering sciences. INS2I ensures the scientific quality and excellence of its laboratories and teams by facilitating the recruitment of toplevel researchers as well as the dissemination and sharing of good practice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aware of the strong societal impact of information science, the Institute develops and strengthens links between its laboratories and socio-economic actors, and establishes direct partnerships with the main players in the digital technology industry.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The evaluation committees associated to INS2I are:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/comitenational\/sections\/section.php?sec=6\">Section 06<\/a><\/b>&nbsp;: Information Sciences :&nbsp;foundations of computer science, computation, algorithms, representations, operations<\/li>\n<li><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/comitenational\/sections\/section.php?sec=7\">Section 07&nbsp;<\/a><\/b>: Information Sciences&nbsp;:&nbsp;processing, hardware-software integrated systems, robots, controls, images, content, interactions, signals and languages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3><strong>What is the role of the INS2I Scientific Council ?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #2c2b2b; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;\">For each of its &nbsp;10&nbsp;<\/span><a style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/fr\/recherche\/instituts.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">institutes<\/a><span style=\"color: #2c2b2b; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px;\">, the CNRS set up a dedicated scientific council.
